About the company

Artichoke is based in Bratislava since 2010 and produces live action, documentary and animation films. Artichoke is run by two producers, Juraj Krasnohorsky and Henrieta Cvangova. Our co-produced animation short film Superbia premiered at the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes in 2016. White Plastic Sky, an adult animated film co-produced with Hungary, premiered in the Berlinale Encounters competition in 2023. Electra by Oscar nominee and student Oscar winner Daria Kashcheeva premiered in La Cinef in Cannes in 2023 and Garden of Heart by Oliver Hegyi in Zagreb in 2023. Artichoke’s producer Juraj Krasnohorsky is an EAVE alumni and Head of studies at CEE Animation Workshop, a leading European animation training programme. Juraj was selected to be part of EFP’s Producer on the Move program in Cannes 2023.
